China has launched its first major gaming graphics card that aims to compete with Nvidia. The new GPU comes from a Chinese company called Lisuan Tech. The card carries the name Lisuan G100 also called the LX 7G100. Many people in the tech world see this launch as an important moment for China’s computer chip industry.
For many years, Nvidia and AMD ruled the gaming GPU market. China mostly depended on foreign companies for high-end graphics cards. Now Chinese firms want to reduce that dependence and build their own powerful products. The launch of the Lisuan GPU shows that China wants a bigger place in the global gaming and chip market.
The new GPU uses a 6nm process and comes with 12GB GDDR6 memory. Lisuan Tech says the card uses its own ‘TrueGPU’ architecture instead of technology from Nvidia or AMD. This matters as it shows China can now create more original chip designs.
The company also says the GPU supports modern graphics systems and even works with Windows on ARM devices. Early reports claimed the card could match GPUs like the Nvidia RTX 4060 or RTX 5060 in some tests. These claims created huge interest across China and other countries.
The graphics card mainly targets gamers who want strong performance at a lower price. Many buyers also support the product as they want local Chinese technology to grow.
Even though the early news looked exciting, later tests gave mixed results. Independent reviews showed the GPU did not fully match Nvidia’s newer gaming cards. In several games, performance stayed closer to older GPUs like the RTX 3060.
Some reports showed Cyberpunk 2077 running at around 88 FPS at 1080p on medium settings. NVIDIA cards in the same class often delivered better results. A few older leaked tests even showed weak numbers compared to much older GPUs like the GTX 660 Ti.
Experts believe the hardware still needs better drivers and software support. NVIDIA and AMD spent many years improving their gaming systems, while Lisuan Tech is very new in this market.

Even with weaker gaming numbers, the launch still carries huge importance. China wants stronger control over its own chip industry, especially after recent US export restrictions on advanced technology.
The biggest surprise came from sales. Reports said more than 30,000 units were sold within just 48 hours in China. This strong demand proves many buyers support local technology even before perfect performance arrives.
Right now, the Lisuan GPU does not beat Nvidia. Still, the launch marks a major step for China’s future in gaming and computer chips.
