

UAE stock markets attracted 8,919 new investor accounts in September 2026, with the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) accounting for 5,298 accounts and the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) adding 3,621 accounts.
New accounts rose alongside a total trading value of around AED 77.18 billion across the two markets, reflecting continued investor activity during the month.
Monthly data from the Dubai and Abu Dhabi stock markets showed trading worth AED 32.07 billion on the Dubai Financial Market and AED 45.10 billion on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange.
In September, brokerage firms in the two markets carried out about 1.59 million deals, involving 30 billion shares. In the Dubai market, EFG Hermes UAE topped the list by trading value with AED 6.82 billion, accounting for 21.28% of total trading. In comparison, Arqa Securities was second with AED 3.89 billion and 12.12%, respectively.
International Securities led Dubai in new accounts with 1,277, followed by BHM Capital with 1,254. Al Ramz Capital added 667 accounts, Abu Dhabi Islamic Securities recorded 601, and Mashreq Securities added 592.
The Dubai market recorded around 689,200 transactions through brokerage firms during September, while traded share volume reached approximately 14.64 billion shares.

In Abu Dhabi, EFG Hermes UAE also ranked first among brokerage firms by trading value, with AED 8.95 billion and a 19.9% share. International Securities followed with AED 8.25 billion, representing 18.3%, while Arqa Securities recorded AED 4.61 billion and a 10.2% share.
BHM Capital Financial Services recorded the most new accounts in the Abu Dhabi market in September, with 995 accounts. Al Ramz Capital followed with 762, Abu Dhabi Islamic Financial Services added 612, and International Securities recorded 254 new accounts.
The September figures underline participation and trading activity across the UAE's two major stock markets, with thousands of new accounts opened alongside billions of dirhams in transactions.
