As ChatGPT continues to face mass deletions and unsubscriptions, Anthropic brings a new marketing idea. Anthropic announces ways to switch from ChatGPT to Claude AI.
It has announced a new feature that allows data to be transferred from other AI chatbots. Here’s why the new idea has come up and how it works.
Amidst the rising number of users uninstalling and unsubscribing from ChatGPT, Anthropic has introduced a new import memory feature for Claude. This feature allows premium/paid version users to retrieve memories from other AI chatbots.
The feature was announced just after Anthropic saw strong public support in its favour following the ‘cancellation of its deal’ with the US government. Several ChatGPT users on social media platforms expressed their decision to cancel their ChatGPT subscriptions and switch to Claude.
This has eventually led Anthropic to launch a new feature. A new strategy to promote their business and take advantage of the sudden rise in support. On 2 March 2028, Monday, the AI company announced the new feature. A post went live on the official Claude handle on Threads saying “users can now import saved memories from other AI chatbots directly over to Claude.”
A user on X (formerly Twitter) said, "With a heavy heart, I have canceled my ChatGPT subscription. No longer will I fund the machine that creates summaries that I only skim of articles that I will never read [sic]," Other users explained that they will be using Claude AI’s new feature. However, as of now, not many details are known about this new feature.
There are also reports suggesting that Google is working on a similar feature for Gemini, likely allowing the chatbot to draw on memories from other chatbots. As of now, it looks like Anthropic has beaten the tech giant and taken a step ahead.
