Apple may be planning one of its most important upgrades in years for iPhone 20, with a strong emphasis on imaging and industrial design. Although the new model is still several years from release, the rumored specifications suggest a combination of high-end hardware and a more streamlined, minimalist user experience.

What’s Changing in Camera Setup?

A vital element of the story comes from Digital Chat Station, which leaked information on Weibo about Apple testing a 200MP periscope telephoto lens. The new technology will enable Apple to make a major advancement by bringing it closer to competing with premium Android brands that already use it.

The inclusion of a periscope lens will be extremely beneficial for long-distance shooting, which Apple has been quite conservative about until now. In addition to that, new iPhone 20 will come with a 48 MP selfie camera.

Will Apple Finally Redesign iPhone?

iPhone 20 may introduce a notable shift in design philosophy. Reports indicate Apple is exploring a fully seamless “liquid glass” design with no visible cutouts. Both Face ID and the front camera could sit beneath the display, enabling a true full-screen experience.

Another major change could involve removing all physical buttons. Apple is reportedly testing haptic-based controls that replace mechanical inputs with touch-sensitive feedback. Such a move would align with Apple’s long-term push toward fewer physical components.

What Specs Could Power the Model?

iPhone 20 will feature a 6.9-inch display and an ergonomic design, together with an OLED display and ProMotion technology, which can deliver a refresh rate of 120Hz. The iPhone 20 may also use Apple’s A22 chip, which provides 16GB RAM and 1TB internal storage. The upcoming model can be charged using a 40W USB-C charger, which supports a battery capacity of up to 5,092mAh. The iPhone 20 is also expected to come with iOS 28 preinstalled.

The release schedule shows that iPhone 20 launch window will last until autumn 2028. Price specifications remain unknown; however, initial predictions suggest it will fall into the sub-premium product class.
