du completed the UAE transport sector’s first full-scale modernisation on a sovereign national cloud platform. Thus, migrating the core systems of Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) to du Tech’s National Hypercloud. The move strengthens data sovereignty while preparing the transport operator for AI-led digital mobility services.
DTC’s mission-critical systems now run on du’s Oracle Alloy-based sovereign cloud platform. This allows high-speed computing, autonomous databases and AI-ready capabilities.
The system is located within the UAE territory. Now DTC can keep its data and digital workloads within national borders. This comes after the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed by du and DTC during GITEX Global 2025. This brings a broader effort to modernise DTC’s core technology infrastructure.
The completed transformation aims to improve performance and reliability of DTC’s core operational systems. It will also reduce operational costs and technical complexity associated with legacy IT infrastructure.
The project comes as governments and large enterprises increasingly seek cloud infrastructure. The plan is to combine hyperscale performance with greater control over data and operations. Companies now require cloud infrastructure that can provide both storage and computing power. These should also facilitate artificial intelligence, data analytics, and digital freedom.
The National Hypercloud is launched by du in collaboration with Oracle. The aim is to deliver a sovereign cloud solution for the UAE government bodies and organizations. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure solutions are provided via infrastructure operated within the country.
The DTC deployment demonstrates how the model can be applied to a mission-critical transport environment. It could also create a template for other government-linked enterprises, transport authorities and companies in the mobility and logistics sectors.
