Emirates will operate 14 additional flights between Dubai and Durban during the 2026-27 festive season. This initiative is to provide travelers with more options during two peak travel periods. The temporary services will provide a second daily connection on the route for two separate one-week periods.
The additional flights will operate from December 17 to 23, 2026, and from January 2 to 8, 2027. Emirates will add seven round-trip rotations during each period, alongside its existing daily services between the two cities.
The extra flights will carry the flight numbers EK2535 from Dubai to Durban and EK2536 for the return journey. A three-class Boeing 777 will operate all supplementary services.
Emirates is also offering more flexible booking conditions for passengers travelling during the period. Customers flying to Dubai can change their travel dates without fees, with unlimited changes available across all cabin classes.
Passengers travelling to other destinations will receive one free date change under the revised terms. The changes give customers more flexibility when arranging their holiday travel. The airline has also expanded access to its Hold My Fare service. The option allows customers to reserve a ticket price for 24 hours without paying an additional fee. This gives travelers time to finalize their plans before completing a booking.
Emirates has also lowered its refund fees during this period, giving passengers more flexibility when changing their travel plans.
The extra Dubai-Durban flights will operate during the year-end holidays and early January. They will add to the airline’s existing daily services and provide more seats for travelers.
Passengers should check flight availability and ticket conditions before booking. Rules for date changes, refunds and fare holds may differ depending on the ticket and destination.
