The Dubai-based Islamic lender recorded a 6% increase in total income to AED 4.7 billion, up from AED 4.4 billion in the same period last year. Higher non-funded income drove the growth, reflecting stronger contributions from fee-based and other revenue streams.

Despite improved operating performance, net profit remained broadly stable year-on-year at AED 2.7 billion. The bank's net profit margin stood at 3%.

Operating expenses increased 5% to AED 1.4 billion, reflecting continued strategic investments to support business growth. Impairment allowances stood at AED 141 million.

Assets, Financing and Deposits Record Growth

Emirates Islamic continued to expand its balance sheet during the nine months, with total assets rising 8.6% to AED 158.3 billion.

Customer financing grew 14.4% to AED 101.6 billion, while customer deposits increased 13.4% to AED 115.8 billion. Current and savings account balances accounted for 63.2% of total deposits, highlighting the bank's funding mix.

The lender's non-performing financing ratio stood at 2.4%, while its coverage ratio was 151.5%. Its Common Equity Tier 1 ratio reached 15.1%, and the capital adequacy ratio stood at 16.2%.

The financing-to-deposit ratio was 87.7%, remaining within the management's target range. The bank said its capital and liquidity position continued to support sustainable growth.

Bank Focuses on Sustainable Growth

Hesham Abdulla Al Qassim, Chairman of Emirates Islamic, said the bank remained focused on sustainable balance sheet growth, prudent risk management and effective capital allocation.

He said these priorities would help the lender capture growth opportunities, support customers, deliver sustainable returns to shareholders and advance Islamic finance in line with the UAE Islamic Finance and Halal Industry Strategy 2025-2031.

Farid AlMulla, Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Islamic, said the bank's diversified business model continued to deliver strong results. He attributed the income increase to strong growth in non-funded revenue streams and highlighted continued investment in strategic priorities to support long-term value creation.
