In Dubai, trade license renewal fees are reduced by up to 50% in some cases. Many businesses in Dubai are reaping significant savings on trade license renewals. According to industry sources, this trend is prompting many firms to renew their licenses months before expiry to take advantage of lower fees across multiple departments.
Industry operators report a noticeable boost in early renewals. Mohammed Dawood Shahabudeen from Seven City Document Clearing said, “We are seeing more businesses coming in early to renew their licenses. Even companies whose licenses are due to expire in the next four to six months are choosing to renew now.” The decision allows firms to fix reduced costs before potential future adjustments.
According to the report, in one case, a business paid Dh21,683 instead of Dh37,583, a drop of over 40%; in another, costs fell from Dh12,370 to Dh8,190. The reductions stem from multiple fee components rather than a single discount. Mohammed Masiuddeen of Superjet Group explained, “There are fees from various government entities for different licenses. What we are seeing now is that some of these charges are reduced or not applied, which brings the overall cost down significantly.”
Firooskhan CM from the Arabian Business Centre noted that certain charges, including labor fees, foreign name fees and public waste-related fees, have been reduced. These discounts are closely aligned with Dubai’s Dh1 billion economic support package, which covers accommodation, waste management and service-related fees. Companies with large staff can take full advantage of this, as more employees lead to greater overall savings from employee-linked charges.
Free deductions are not the same for everyone, as they depend on the business type or license structure. However, the combined effect is very large in reducing fees across separate departments. For many firms, early renewal now represents not only financial relief but also strategic planning. It assures secure savings amid Dubai’s ongoing economic support measures.
