Geely launched the Monjaro EM-i plug-in hybrid SUV in the United Arab Emirates through its official distributor, AGMC. The five-seat model enters the UAE market with prices starting at AED 130,900 for the Max front-wheel-drive variant.
The launch expands Geely’s electrified lineup in the country and positions the Monjaro EM-i as a premium midsize SUV option for buyers seeking both electric-only driving and long-distance petrol-hybrid capability.
Geely offers the Monjaro EM-i in four UAE variants. The Max FWD starts at AED 130,900, while the Ultra AWD costs AED 146,900. The Ultra Plus AWD is priced at AED 148,900, and the range-topping Special Edition AWD retails at AED 149,900.
The SUV combines a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with Geely’s EM-i Super Hybrid system. Buyers can choose front-wheel drive or electric all-wheel drive, depending on the variant.
The headline 410 hp figure applies to the higher-output three-motor configuration with intelligent electric all-wheel drive. The AWD version is also reported to produce up to 330 hp and 667 Nm of torque, with a claimed 0-100 km/h time of 5.83 seconds.
The vehicle uses a 29.8 kWh battery pack. Geely claims up to 116 km of electric range under WLTP conditions and up to 922 km of combined range. Under NEDC testing, the claimed figures rise to 130 km and 1,095 km, respectively.
The Monjaro EM-i supports DC fast charging from 30 per cent to 80 per cent in about 15 minutes. It also offers 6.6 kW vehicle-to-load capability, allowing owners to power compatible external devices using the vehicle’s battery. Boot space stands at 633 litres. With the rear seats folded, cargo capacity expands to 2,183 litres, making the SUV suitable for family travel and larger loads.
