Grand Theft Auto VI is officially scheduled to launch globally on November 19, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick confirmed that there will be no more delays, easing fans’ concerns.
The game was initially planned for an earlier release, but the launch date was changed multiple times. Rockstar Games has shared only limited updates in recent months, leading some to believe the game could face another delay. However, the company has now made it clear that everything remains on track.
The focus has now shifted to GTA 6 pre-orders that are expected to start soon. The company plans to begin marketing in summer 2026. Usually, pre-orders open at the same time, allowing fans to register between June and September.
A new trailer is also expected soon. This will likely be the third trailer. The first two trailers mainly showed the city and the main characters. The next trailer may show actual gameplay, including how the game works, missions, and player actions.
The excitement for the GTA 6 release date is high. Many experts believe this could be the biggest game launch ever. The company also expects huge earnings from this release.
At launch, the game will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S. A PC version is not confirmed yet. Rockstar usually brings PC versions after the console release.
