

An international survey shows that people in the United Kingdom are the most excited about the release of Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6). This highlights how keen people are to see the latest title from Rockstar Games in more than a decade.
The findings bring attention to the worldwide popularity of GTA 6, slated for an official release on November 19, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Analysts have predicted that the title will become one of the most successful launches in the entertainment industry ever, generating billions of dollars in sales.
United Kingdom topped the list owing to its outstanding excitement level, fueled by online engagement and engagement with GTA 5. The United Kingdom made approximately 14.8 million searches related to GTA 6 monthly, about 212 searches per 1,000 individuals. The research discovered that more than 789,000 active players of GTA 5 in the United Kingdom spend 118.9 hours on the game.
Second on the list was Switzerland, given the high player satisfaction and search demand despite gamers being expected to pay one of the highest prices for the game's premium edition.
Canada claimed third place with more than 5.4 million monthly searches and the highest average GTA 5 playtime among the countries studied. Canadian players reportedly spend nearly 168 hours on average in Rockstar's blockbuster title, demonstrating long-term engagement with the franchise.
The combination of sustained player engagement and overwhelming search activity pushed the UK ahead of every other market in the rankings. Publishers are already adjusting release schedules to avoid going head to head with Rockstar. Retailers are reporting a rise in console demand as the launch approaches.
