An exciting iOS 28 leak has just dropped on the eve of WWDC 2026.  Apple is all set to position iOS 28 as a major AI-centric upgrade. The update will likely introduce a redesigned Siri with a more conversational interface and deeper contextual awareness.

iOS 27  Brings AI-Led Experience

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, “Apple is already working on iOS 28, and the update is expected to be much bigger than this year’s iOS 27 release.  Next year’s  iOS 28 releases are already shaping up to be far more significant than the 27 updates.” However, Gurman did not reveal any specific details about the upcoming software.

Apple will also be expanding ‘Apple Intelligence’ capabilities across essential applications. The aim is to improve automation, upgrade photo editing, and improve natural language commands. In addition to the above developments, iOS 28 will also focus on improving performance stability and introducing new features.

There is evidence that Apple will go beyond offering device intelligence through the upcoming iOS 28. Apple seems to have an interest in increasing integration between products in its ecosystem, especially those related to health. There are even reports that Apple will enhance its health-monitoring capabilities and make health information accessible across its entire platform.

Strategy Ahead: AI Now, Ecosystem Next

Experts suggest that the upcoming iOS 27 should be a platform with robust AI functionality, and iOS 28 will likely be even more integrated. Predictive, personalized experiences seem to be the next step for Apple, which will focus on a multi-device approach rather than one-device solutions.

Reports also suggest that iOS 27 is likely to bring a dedicated Siri app that supports both voice and text conversations. Thus, making it more similar to AI chatbots such as ChatGPT. Apple is also expected to add a new Search or Ask feature to its Dynamic Island.

At present, there is still room for adjustments. Apple tends to experiment with various functions before releasing them officially. iOS 27 needs the most attention, while iOS 28 is just a sneak peek at the company's future.
