Kia is entering a new phase in the UAE market after appointing Al Tayer Motors as its exclusive importer and distributor. The move will bring Kia’s sales, service, and after-sales operations under a new distribution structure as the South Korean automaker expands its vehicle portfolio.
Under the agreement, Al Tayer Motors will handle Kia operations across Dubai and the Northern Emirates, while its Abu Dhabi operation, Premier Motors, will represent the brand in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. The new distributors will manage servicing, spare parts, and after-sales support.
The distribution change came at an important time as Kia broadens its presence in the UAE and introduces more electrified vehicles. Kia has already brought its PV5 electric van to the UAE. The company is expected to introduce additional models during the year.
Kia's UAE portfolio currently includes passenger cars, SUVs, electric vehicles, commercial vehicles and pickup trucks. The company intends to strengthen its position across these categories as demand for different forms of mobility develops.

For current Kia customers, the transition is not expected to disrupt existing services. Al Tayer Motors and Premier Motors have confirmed that existing warranties, service agreements and after-sales support will continue to be honored. Customers should continue to receive servicing and other support under the existing terms.
The new distributors will also operate parts and service facilities as part of the wider network, helping maintain support for Kia owners across different parts of the country.

For Kia, the partnership could strengthen its retail and service network while supporting its move towards electric and sustainable mobility. Kia also thanked Juma Al Majid Group, its former UAE partner, for its contribution to the brand's development in the market.
