Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta brings ‘Muse Spark’ with Meta Superintelligence Labs (MSL). The new model aims to power Meta AI. This AI tool will be incorporated across various platforms, including WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook.

With this new AI tool, Zuckerberg aims to stay ahead of its competitors. He claims that this tool is more powerful than ChatGPT and Claude AI. Muse Spark is part of Meta’s new Muse family of AI models and will replace its existing Llama models.

Meta Brings Muse Spark

According to Alexandr Wang, Muse Spark was built from scratch in just nine months. Wang claims that this model will understand the world around the user. The AI can solve complex problems related to science and math. The AI model can also give the user information from their conversations across every Meta app.

Spark is not just Meta’s small yet compact model. In a blog post, the tech giant explained, “This initial model is small and fast by design, yet capable enough to reason through complex questions in science, math, and health.”

Muse Spark: The Next Superpowered AI

In 2025, Mark Zuckerberg spent billions to set up the Meta Superintelligence Labs (MSL). Meta brought in Alexandr Wang to lead MSL by paying over $14 billion to acquire Scale AI. Now, MSL has launched its first AI and the most powerful model featuring Muse Spark.

Alexandr Wang highlights that Muse Spark’s ‘contemplating mode’ has the potential to manage multiple agents, working in parallel, and handle complex tasks. He added, “In our testing, we found it competitive with other extreme reasoning models such as Gemini Deep Think & GPT Pro.”

Looking ahead, Meta claims that Muse Spark can match models such as Anthropic’s Claude Opus 4.6 and OpenAI’s GPT 5.4 in certain benchmarks. The tech company believes that its model is much more advanced and has better health applications, multimodal reasoning,  and agentic AI.
