Nintendo and developer Intelligent Systems unveiled a paid Expansion Pass for Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave. Priced at USD 34.99 in the US, the pass will introduce additional content across three waves. The first wave is now available, while the remaining releases are scheduled for the holiday season of 2026 and sometime in 2027.
The first wave introduces four prototype weapons modeled after the Heroes’ Relics featured in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. The release brings familiar weapon designs from the earlier game into Fortune’s Weave, offering players additional equipment for their adventures.
Nintendo confirmed the weapons as the first batch of downloadable content. However, the initial release focuses on equipment rather than introducing new story chapters or playable characters. The second wave is scheduled for the holiday period of 2026. It will introduce three additional characters: Smyrnos, Aurora, and Jurah. The update will also add new wearable outfits.
These additions will expand the game's available character options and customization features. Nintendo has not announced a specific launch date for this wave.
The Expansion Pass costs USD 34.99 in the US and is available through the Nintendo eShop. Players must own the full version of Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave to access the downloadable content.
The third wave, planned for 2027, will expand the game's narrative with new stories featuring Bertrand, Talimun, Orchel and Anatolia. Nintendo also confirmed that this release will include additional allies, new classes and more content.
The purchase covers all three waves as they become available. Nintendo has confirmed that players cannot buy the individual waves separately. The arrangement allows buyers to access the planned additions through a single purchase rather than making separate transactions for each release. The game is available exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2.
