Nvidia and Meta said on Tuesday they would work more closely on the Muse AI assistant and related models. The partnership will focus on improving performance and lowering operating costs for Meta's AI systems, which run on Nvidia's computing infrastructure.
Nvidia's USD 3 billion investment will go into Meta's expanded equity offering. Meta raised the offering to USD 97.5 billion, marking the largest fundraising effort in its history as it steps up spending on AI infrastructure.
Muse, internally known as Hatch, is central to Meta chief executive Mark Zuckerberg's goal of delivering ‘personal superintelligence’ to users across the company's services.
The assistant is modelled on the open-source AI agent OpenClaw. It can access applications covering email, calendars, payments, health, shopping and smart-home functions. Users can revoke that access at any time.
The companies are also considering closer cooperation on Nvidia's OpenShell framework. The work could include using the framework to distribute software more safely and deploying Sentry, a tool designed to monitor AI agent behavior.
The agreement strengthens Nvidia's relationship with Meta as the social media company expands its AI capabilities. For Nvidia, the investment adds a financial stake to its existing role as a key supplier of computing infrastructure for Meta's AI systems.
