OnePlus appears to be preparing its next flagship smartphone for launch later this year. Recent leaks suggest the OnePlus 16 could debut in China in October, followed by a wider rollout in India and other markets in the following months. Although the company has not confirmed the schedule, the timeline aligns with OnePlus' recent flagship release cycle.
The company has not revealed official pricing. However, industry reports estimate that the phone may cost approximately 5,000 yuan in China. In India, the basic variant is expected to cost between Rs. 65,000 and Rs. 75,000, positioning it in the high-end flagship category. The final price of the phone will vary based on storage capacity and local taxes.
Battery capacity may well turn out to be the OnePlus 16's strongest selling feature. Leaked data suggests that it will have a 9,000mAh battery, which would be among the largest in any commercially available flagship smartphone to date. If these specifications prove accurate, the device could set a new benchmark for endurance among premium Android phones.
The OnePlus 16 is expected to feature a 6.78-inch flat OLED display with slim bezels and a high refresh rate. The OnePlus 16 will likely come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro processor, coupled with LPDDR6 memory to offer advanced AI support.
The OnePlus 16 is likely to have a 200MP main or telephoto camera sensor, along with an extra ultra-wide and zoom lens.
Leaks also mention upgraded stereo speakers, stronger haptics, improved water resistance, and new AI-powered software features. OnePlus has yet to confirm any specifications.
