Qatar’s electronic security market is set to reach USD 885 million (about QAR 3.2 billion) by 2032. According to a Ken Research report, it was worth USD 500 million in 2025 and is expected to grow at 8.50% per year through 2032. The main drivers are AI adoption and ongoing infrastructure expansion.

From Standalone Cameras to Integrated Systems

Organizations are moving away from standalone cameras and alarms and toward integrated IP-based systems. They want security that connects, learns, and responds faster, so AI analytics, biometric credentials, edge processing, and hybrid-cloud management are gaining ground.

Software and recurring services are also becoming a bigger part of the picture. Buyers are investing more in analytics, central monitoring, system uptime, and maintenance compliance, which pushes total spending higher. The report puts the market at approximately QAR 2.9 billion in 2031 and QAR 3.2 billion in 2032, with infrastructure upgrades and lifecycle spending driving the growth.

Big Projects Ensure Steady Demand

Several large, long-running projects and asset types support demand:

  • QatarEnergy’s LNG expansion

  • Hamad International Airport, which can handle more than 65 million passengers a year

  • Hamad Port, with planned throughput of 7.5 million TEU

  • A hospitality sector with more than 42,000 room keys

All of these require continuous security upgrades, driving steady demand for surveillance, access control, and related services.

Between 2020 and 2025, the market grew 8.67% per year, helped by a strong post-pandemic rebound. The projected 8.50% through 2032 suggests a steadier pace.

Where Opportunity is Heading

As the market matures, the money is likely to shift toward analytics, software integration, maintenance contracts, and managed security services that cover multiple sites.

For investors, businesses, government agencies, and financial institutions, the number of systems installed will matter less than how quickly major projects build AI features, software, and lifecycle services.

Qatar ranks fourth among GCC countries by electronic security market size. Its 2024 GDP per capita of USD 76,689 is the highest in the GCC, which supports demand for premium security technology and long-term service packages.
