Realme launched a Harry Potter Edition of its 16 Pro smartphone, giving fans a collectible device built around the world of Hogwarts. The launch marks the brand’s second collaboration with Warner Bros., after its earlier Game of Thrones edition.
The phone features a Magic Brown finish with an argyle pattern and a leather-like texture. A golden Hogwarts crest sits on the back, while the camera module gets gold accents. Realme has also laser-engraved a ‘Welcome to Hogwarts’ banner on the device.
Realme packed the box with themed accessories. Buyers receive a leather suitcase, a Hogwarts acceptance letter, a book list, a train ticket and postcards. The package also includes house-crest bookmarks, a crest pin, themed earbuds and a Harry Potter phone case.
The software follows the same theme. The phone ships with a Hogwarts wallpaper, a film-style boot animation and a custom fingerprint effect. Realme has also redesigned 30 built-in apps with Harry Potter-inspired elements.
The Harry Potter Edition is based on the realme 16 Pro. It comes with 12GB RAM and 254GB storage. The device runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 Max 5G chipset, paired with a Mali-G615 GPU. The phone features a 6.78-inch 144Hz AMOLED display with a 1,272 x 2,772 resolution. Realme claims a peak brightness of up to 6,500 nits.
The Harry Potter Edition is listed at about USD 657 on Realme’s website. The first batch reportedly sold out within minutes, and the company opened a second batch for interested buyers. The highlight is the house crest, which uses quadra light-sensing color-changing technology. Under UV light, the crest reveals the colors of the four Hogwarts houses.
Fans who do not want the phone can still pick up the Harry Potter-inspired realme Buds T500 Pro earbuds. The collaboration positions Realme to tap into the strong fan following of the franchise while adding a premium, collectible angle to its smartphone lineup.
