The Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa) selected more than 60 UAE startups and small and medium-sized enterprises for support under its Entrepreneurs Resilience Fund.
The Dh5 million initiative provides equity-free financial assistance and in-kind support to help viable businesses manage immediate operational challenges while continuing to pursue long-term growth.
The programme received more than 330 applications. Sheraa developed the initiative with public- and private-sector partners to provide selected businesses with financial assistance, tailored mentorship, strategic advisory services and faster funding decisions.
Entrepreneurs Resilience Fund intends to help startup businesses sustain their operations under fluctuating market conditions. This financial assistance program extends beyond mere financial aid and assists entrepreneurs in establishing connections with their target strategic partners and markets.
According to Shehraa, “ The current batch comprises firms involved in the food value chain, accessibility, wellness, and sustainable consumer goods. Some of the selected firms include Little Sprouties, Shukrani/Hylo, Chocoleaf, RAWA Wellness, Eshara AI, The AM Lab, BookMyPet, The Waste Lab, and Ajada.”
This fund was established in April 2026 for the provision of expedited assistance in the form of finances, operations, and marketing to Sharjah-based startup and SME businesses. It focuses on different sectors such as manufacturing, food security, and healthcare, which contribute to economic sustainability.
This new development is part of the efforts of the United Arab Emirates to bolster the development of entrepreneurship and the growth of the private sector. The country aims to increase the number of active companies from 1.2 million to more than 2 million by 2031 and create 30,000 jobs through entrepreneurship by 2030.
Sheraa has facilitated more than 600 startups since it was launched and has seen founders raise over Dh1.14 billion, according to the center.
