Apple is set to expand its revamped Siri AI beyond English, with French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish support appearing in the first iOS 27.2 developer beta. The development comes just days after Apple released iOS 27, which introduced the next-generation Siri AI as a beta limited initially to English.
Apple already confirmed that the five additional languages would arrive in October. Their appearance in the latest beta gives users an early look at the planned expansion, although the software remains in testing and the final rollout could change.
The redesigned Siri is part of Apple Intelligence and is intended to handle more natural conversations while understanding personal context and what is displayed on the screen. It can also perform actions across supported apps, giving the assistant a broader role than the previous version of Siri.
At launch, these capabilities were limited to devices configured for English. The addition of five languages would expand access to users in several major markets, particularly across Europe, Asia and Latin America.
Apple has not announced a specific October release date for the new language support. It also hasn’t officially tied the language expansion to a particular public software build, even though the features have been spotted in iOS 27.2 beta.
The languages currently appearing in the beta are French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish. This matches Apple's previously announced list for the October expansion. The broader Apple Intelligence platform already supports several languages, including German, Italian, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, Norwegian, Swedish, Turkish, and Vietnamese. Siri AI, however, has a more limited language rollout at this stage.
The beta release therefore marks an important distinction between general Apple Intelligence language support and the availability of the newer Siri experience.

Language is not the only factor determining access to Siri AI. Apple says the feature requires an Apple Intelligence-compatible device and a supported device language. Hardware requirements mean not every iPhone running on iOS 27 can use the full Apple Intelligence feature set.
Apple has also said Siri AI will initially be unavailable on iOS, iPadOS and watchOS in the European Union. The company is working on a way to address the regional restrictions while maintaining its privacy and security requirements.
For now, the appearance of the five languages in iOS 27.2 beta suggests Apple is moving ahead with its planned October expansion. A wider release will clearly indicate how quickly the new Siri experience reaches users outside the English-speaking market.
