Ubisoft is reportedly among several companies interested in acquiring Arkane Studios from Xbox, potentially giving the developer a new home outside Microsoft. The studio, known for Dishonored and Deathloop, is currently facing an uncertain future, with its ongoing Marvel's Blade project also depending on the outcome.
According to a Bloomberg report, Ubisoft Entertainment has submitted an offer to acquire Arkane Studios. At least two other gaming companies have also expressed interest, although their identities and the financial terms of the bids remain undisclosed.
Xbox is also considering another option: selling the studio to its existing management, which could allow Arkane to operate independently. No agreement has been reached with any potential buyer. An Xbox spokesperson told Bloomberg that the company is exploring available options ahead of a December deadline but declined to share further details.

One of the biggest concerns surrounding Arkane's future is Marvel's Blade, the action game announced in 2023. Arkane Lyon, the France-based studio, is developing the project. Bloomberg's sources suggest that a potential acquisition would likely allow the development team to complete the game.
The title is reportedly expected to arrive within the next one to two years, although an official release date has not been announced. A successful deal could therefore protect both the development team and the future of the Marvel project.
