It is the primary reason behind Apple's apparent willingness to raise prices. The potential decision is expected to be implemented even before the launch of the iPhone 18 series, which is likely to be scheduled for the Fall event in September.”
Data center operators and AI companies are buying large amounts of DRAM and storage devices to support their AI models and cloud architectures. This has led to increased demand for memory components.
As chipmakers focus on more lucrative AI projects, less chip output will be allocated to smartphone, tablet, and PC applications. This development has caused memory prices to rise steeply in the past year.
