Batelco by Beyon introduced Protect+, a new device protection service for eligible Apple products in Bahrain. The company says it is the first telecom operator in the country to bundle AppleCare Services with a protection plan.
The service aims to reduce the financial and practical burden of device damage. It combines repair coverage, battery support, and access to Apple’s technical expertise under one offering.
Protect+ provides unlimited accidental damage coverage for eligible Apple devices. The plan carries no excess fees, hidden charges, depreciation deductions, or limits on the value of individual claims.
Customers can obtain repairs at Apple Stores and authorized service providers worldwide. This global coverage may appeal to frequent travelers and customers who use Apple devices across multiple markets.
The plan also includes battery replacement when an eligible device’s battery capacity falls below 80 per cent. In addition, customers receive priority access to Apple experts for technical support.
For iPhone users in many major cities, Batelco says Protect+ can offer same-day screen repair options. This could shorten downtime and reduce inconvenience for customers who rely heavily on their phones.
Batelco will initially offer two-year Protect+ plans for iPhones. The company plans to extend the same two-year coverage to iPads, AirPods, and Apple Watches.
MacBook customers will have access to three-year plans. The longer tenure reflects the typically higher purchase value and longer usage cycle of laptops.
Customers can choose to pay for Protect+ upfront or spread the cost through instalments. Batelco requires customers to activate the service within 24 hours of buying an eligible Apple device. Protect+ may also strengthen Batelco’s position in Bahrain’s competitive telecom market. Device protection plans can create additional revenue streams while encouraging customers to buy Apple products through Batelco channels.
