Adobe is expanding its digital creativity and artificial intelligence skilling programs in India through partnerships with UNICEF, state governments and online learning platforms. The company said that the initiatives are designed to help students and young people develop creative, digital and AI-related skills as technology reshapes the workplace.
Through its partnership with UNICEF’s Generation Unlimited (GenU), nearly 400,000 young people in India have gained access to creative and AI-enabled digital skills, while more than 375,000 learners have completed Adobe’s Design Fundamentals with AI course, according to the company.
Adobe is also working with the governments of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, Assam, Bihar and Tamil Nadu to bring digital creativity and AI learning to thousands of government schools.
The initiative expands Adobe’s K-12 reach in India to 7.8 million students and teachers. Participating schools will receive access to Adobe Express for Education, along with learning material focused on creative problem-solving, digital storytelling, and AI-assisted content creation. Teachers will also receive support to incorporate digital creativity into classroom activities.
The program covers networks including PM SHRI, CM SHRI, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, and Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan schools, with Adobe indicating that the initiative could expand further.
Adobe has become the inaugural partner of UNICEF Generation Unlimited’s Creative Academy, which will initially focus on programs in India. The initiative is intended to connect creative and AI education with employment and entrepreneurship opportunities. Adobe Digital Academy's curriculum will be adapted to local requirements and labor-market needs, giving young people a pathway from learning skills to applying them in professional settings.
The company is also broadening its curriculum beyond creative software. Newer areas include AI-powered creativity, digital marketing and content creation. An AI Essentials for Marketers program developed with LinkedIn covers topics such as digital marketing, social media, content creation and data analytics.
Adobe Digital Academy courses are now available through platforms including Coursera, LinkedIn Learning, YouTube and IBM SkillsBuild, giving learners additional ways to access the training. On IBM SkillsBuild, learners can choose self-paced courses or six-week guided learning programs featuring facilitator support, peer interaction and practical activities.
Globally, Adobe aims to reach 30 million learners by 2030, and expects to reach around three million learners in 2026. Its latest India initiatives bring together school-level AI education, industry-oriented digital training, and programs that connect young people with employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
