Holo, a UAE-based property technology platform, has reduced the average time required to submit mortgage applications to lenders by 65%. Thus, highlighting how artificial intelligence is changing the home-financing process. The technology replaces several manual administrative steps that can slow down the submission process.

AI Cuts Paperwork in Mortgage Applications

Customers upload their documents through Holo’s platform, where the system identifies and structures the required information. It then generates lender-specific forms for digital signatures before submitting the completed application to the bank. Holo uses AI-powered document recognition to extract relevant information from customer documents and automatically populate lender-specific mortgage applications.

The company said, “The process can now be completed in seconds for several stages that previously required significant manual intervention. This allows mortgage advisers to spend more time supporting customers rather than transferring information between documents and systems.”

The improvement extends beyond application submission. Holo said the average time between lender submission and approval has fallen by 95%. Overall, the average period from mortgage application to disbursal has declined by 78%.

AI Moves Deeper Into UAE Property Finance

The company further explained, “ Transaction volumes during early September were 50% higher than in August, while monthly transaction value surpassed $500 million. Demand is also expanding beyond new property purchases, with enquiries for refinancing, mortgage buyouts and equity release rising more than fivefold from the comparable period last year.”

The development reflects a broader push to digitise financial and property services in the UAE. For mortgage providers and borrowers, faster document processing can reduce administrative delays while giving lenders more structured applications to review.

As AI adoption expands across financial services, mortgage platforms such as Holo are increasingly using automation to address paperwork, verification and lender-specific processing, bringing more digital efficiency to the UAE’s property market.
