AMD has recently launched Ryzen AI Halo. This mini-PC is specifically designed to handle AI tasks. The product is priced at $3,999 and uses Ryzen AI Max 300 series CPUs from AMD. It has approximately the same size as the Mac Mini and is expected to be up for pre-order in June 2025.
Halo follows the same physical structure as the Mac Mini and serves as a compact version for desk use. The device is designed for AI processing, where it can be used for learning, programming assistance, and data analysis purposes. AMD had been focusing on making AI features work on laptops where they could complete tasks independently.
This small PC fits in well with AMD's strategy of moving beyond the typical desktop tower. This is evident from its past success with smaller, higher-performing devices such as those designed by Valve. The Halo is designed to compete directly against Apple's M-series Mac Mini and cater to those loyal to the AMD brand range.
The price tag of $3,999 shows that the Halo computer is expensive, almost twice as much as the basic Mac Mini. This clearly shows that AMD wants professionals to purchase this computer, given the high price. The price for UAE consumers remains unknown, and analysts believe that many factors will affect its adoption in the UAE market.
The AMD company is also going to launch its Ryzen AI Max 400 series processors by Q3 2025. This processor is likely to be used in future Halo devices and even special AI-oriented PC systems. Moreover, Intel has announced that its Nova Lake CPUs will be released in late 2026. As far as analytics go, the Halo is a device that offers excellent AI performance and a small form factor while assessing the demand for professional mini computers.
