Apple is reportedly preparing two sets of product launches in October. A smart home hub, refreshed HomePod mini and Apple TV 4K are expected first. Apple could unveil new products on October 13, according to media reports. Reportedly, these products could be announced through a press release.

Major October Role

The smart home hub is expected to be the key product in Apple’s October plans. The device has reportedly been in development for several years. The hub could feature a 6-inch square display. Apple may offer both tabletop and wall-mounted versions.

The device is expected to bring smart home controls together with FaceTime, photo viewing, music playback and widgets. Siri is also expected to play a central role in the experience. The refreshed HomePod mini could keep its existing design. Internal changes may include a newer chip, improved audio and Apple’s N1 wireless chip.

Apple could also add more color options. The updated Apple TV 4K is expected to receive a faster chip and the N1 wireless chip. It may also arrive with an updated Siri Remote.

New Macs and iPad Mini Could Follow

A second set of Apple launches could come in the final week of October. MacRumors, citing sources familiar with Apple’s plans, reports that new Mac models are the most likely candidates.

The reported lineup could include higher-end MacBook Pro models with OLED displays. A base 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M6 chip is also expected. Apple could also introduce a new iMac using the same generation of Apple silicon.

A new iPad mini with an OLED screen and A20 Pro chip is also rumored for this month. Apple is also reportedly planning a high-end Mac Studio configuration with an M5 Ultra chip and up to 512GB of RAM for a ‘late October’ release.
