Apple is testing four new iPad Pro models for a spring 2027 launch. For the first half of the same year, Apple has planned to redesign the entry-level MacBook Pro, according to a report by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. The tech giant has not announced either product, and the report is based on people familiar with the company's internal plans.

These devices could be part of a broader hardware roadmap tied to iPhone's 20th anniversary. While the plans offer an early look at Apple's product pipeline, key details such as pricing, processors, and design changes have not been disclosed.

Refreshed iPad Pro Lineup

The report says Apple is internally testing four iPad Pro models that will continue with the existing 11-inch and 13-inch display sizes. No other hardware specifications have been revealed at this stage. The people cited in the report spoke on the condition of anonymity since the products have not been announced. That makes the information an early indication of Apple's plans rather than confirmation of the final products.

There is also no launch month attached to the reported spring 2027 timeline. Any specific release date circulating outside the report is speculative.

Apple's Current Strategy

The reference to four iPad Pro models may not indicate four entirely different tablets. Apple already sells the iPad Pro in two display sizes with Wi-Fi and cellular variants, which together account for four configurations.

The report does not clarify whether Apple plans new connectivity options or changes to storage variants. It also does not signify any shift in the existing product structure. The only confirmed detail in the report is that the 11-inch and 13-inch screen sizes are expected to continue.

MacBook Pro Redesign Draws Attention

The report also points to a redesigned entry-level MacBook Pro targeted for the first half of 2027. That single description is the only information available about the notebook. There is nothing about the processor, pricing, display size, or the nature of the redesign. The report also does not clarify whether the entry-level model refers to the current base MacBook Pro or another product.

The mention of a redesign has drawn attention since Apple's MacBook Pro has largely retained the same overall design for several years. Even so, the report offers no details on what changes Apple is testing.

Plan for Anniversary Year

The reported iPad Pro and MacBook Pro updates are described as part of a wider lineup planned for the iPhone's 20th anniversary year. The same product cycle has also generated reports of other new Apple hardware, including a foldable iPhone.

Apple has not commented on any of these reported products. For now, the Bloomberg report provides an early snapshot of what could be on Apple's roadmap, while the final hardware, specifications, and launch schedule are likely to become clearer as we get closer to 2027.
