Apple may soon give Siri its biggest update in many years. A new leak about iOS 27 shows that the company works on a fresh AI system with a new look and more smart tools. Reports say Apple wants Siri to feel more like a real chat app instead of a simple voice helper.

The leak came from reports linked to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman. The report says Apple plans a standalone Siri app for iPhone users. This app may support both voice and text chat. Users may type questions, ask for help, and continue long talks without a break. Apple may also save chat history, so people can return to old conversations at any time.

A Dedicated Chatbot App and Dynamic Island Overhaul

The new design may also change how Siri opens on the iPhone. Right now, Siri appears as a small screen effect. In iOS 27, users may swipe down near the Dynamic Island area to open a larger AI panel. This setup may look closer to chat apps like ChatGPT and Gemini. The new layout may help users search, ask questions, and control apps from one place.

Another major part of the leak talks about outside AI support. Apple may allow Siri to connect with services like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude. This move may help Siri answer hard questions with better speed and detail. Apple already added some ChatGPT support in recent software, but iOS 27 may take the idea much further.

Privacy also remains an important part of Apple’s plan. Reports say users may choose when chats disappear from history. Apple may also use its Private Cloud Compute system for some AI tasks. This setup may help protect personal data while still giving fast AI replies.

Official Reveal and Device Compatibility

The leak says Apple may reveal these changes at WWDC 2026 on June 8. The company may then release the update with new iPhones in September. Some features may only work on newer devices such as the iPhone 15 Pro and later models depending on Apple Intelligence hardware needs.

If the leak proves true, Siri may soon become a complete AI assistant with deeper chat tools, smarter answers, and a more modern design. This change may place Apple in stronger competition with other major AI companies.
