Dubai Holding Entertainment plans to expand its portfolio with a new park and additional attractions at its existing destinations. The plans come as entertainment operators across the UAE and wider Gulf region compete to attract more visitors.

Fernando Eiroa, CEO of Dubai Holding Entertainment, revealed the expansion plans in an interview with Gulf News during the seasonal reopening of Dubai Parks and Resorts. However, the company has not disclosed the proposed park's location or opening date.

“We will be adding new experiences and a new park in the near future, but I cannot disclose them until we are ready to talk to the public,” Eiroa said.

He added that the upcoming developments would complement the company's existing attractions and respond to visitor demand.

Global Village to Add Roller Coaster, New Attractions

Global Village is among the destinations scheduled for expansion, with a new roller coaster and multiple attractions planned for this year.

“We will be adding a new roller coaster and multiple new attractions at Global Village this year as well,” Eiroa said.

The company has not announced a confirmed opening date for the new ride. Visitors can also expect new live shows, concerts, restaurants, food and beverage outlets, and country pavilions showcasing international cultures.

Eiroa said Global Village refreshes its entertainment offerings every season, with further announcements expected.

Dubai Parks and Resorts to Introduce 14 Riverland Attractions

Dubai Parks and Resorts is preparing new experiences for the season, including shows at Motiongate Dubai and 14 new attractions at Riverland.

The additions include Lamborghini driving simulators, a space-themed bowling alley with arcade games, an expanded go-kart track and new restaurants.

Eiroa highlighted the destination's roller coasters as a major draw, saying the parks offer some of the best rides in the world.

The company is also expanding its hospitality offerings through T-REX Glamping, an experience introduced for a short period last year. Eiroa said hospitality would play an increasingly important role in its future plans.

Dubai Holding Entertainment Focuses on Visitor Demand

This expansion coincides with the development of new entertainment ventures in Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia, creating more competition within the region.

According to Eiroa, the firm would continue receiving feedback from customers to improve their experiences, introduce new concepts, and provide season tickets.

There have been some challenges with regard to travel and flights which have affected the number of tourists who can visit Dubai. Eiroa, however, is optimistic that the coming season will do well.

“We believe and we think that Dubai as a destination will rebound very, very fast, and we will benefit from that,” he said.

Eiroa declined to share a specific visitor target for 2027 but described Global Village's previous reopening as very successful and expressed confidence in the season ahead.
