New Cabin Crew Openings at Flydubai: Everything Applicants Should Know

Dubai-based carrier Flydubai is actively recruiting cabin crew. The airline posted the opening on LinkedIn and is looking for candidates passionate about people and committed to delivering great service.

The role comes with clear set of minimum requirements. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and stand a minimum of 158 cm tall. A valid passport is needed. Candidates must also hold a high school diploma and be in good health to pass aero medical examination.

Flydubai expects its cabin crew to carry themselves professionally. No visible tattoos while in uniform are allowed. Candidates must be fluent in written and spoken English. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus. Confidence in water while wearing a flotation aid is also a must.

Work hours are irregular. Crew members are expected to work weekends, public holidays and overnight shifts. Willingness to relocate to Dubai is a firm requirement. At least one year of customer service experience is needed. Prior work in aviation, hospitality or retail is preferred. International aviation experience gives applicants an added edge.

New recruits should also be aware of a training bond. Flydubai has set a training bond of $2,650 (Dh9,700) for the first year. 

On the pay side package is competitive. Cabin crew receive basic salary with housing and transportation allowance of Dh8,275. A variable flying pay of Dh4,500 per month is also included based on average of 90 flying hours. 

The benefits package is solid too. Crew members receive medical insurance, 30 days of paid annual leave, annual leave ticket and concessional tickets for family and friends. The contract is open-ended.
