Google has started revealing details about its upcoming Pixel 11 series ahead of the event scheduled for August 12. The company shared the first official teaser of the new lineup, providing an early look at what appears to be the Pixel 11 Pro in a new Gold finish. The teaser also confirms that artificial intelligence will be a major focus of the event. Google is expected to showcase new Gemini Intelligence features alongside its next-generation smartphones.

Brings New Design Element

The teaser highlights a new hardware feature called Pixel Glow. The feature appears as a circular light ring placed on the rear camera bar near the camera sensors. Reports suggest that Pixel Glow could replace the traditional LED flash and may also work as a visual notification system.

The lighting effect resembles the colourful design elements used in Google’s AI interface. The tech giant has not shared complete details about how the feature will work and is expected to provide more information during the launch event.

AI and Hardware Upgrades

Google’s August 12 event invitations highlight Gemini Intelligence, showing the company’s focus on AI-powered experiences. The upcoming Pixel lineup is expected to bring improvements in camera processing, battery optimisation and on-device AI features.

The Pixel 11 family is expected to include four models- Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Reports suggest that the devices could use Google’s upcoming Tensor G6 chipset based on a 2nm process. The smartphones are also expected to feature a MediaTek M90 5G modem and may offer 256GB as the base storage option across models. These details are yet to be officially confirmed by Google.

Google's Strategy Means

Google has confirmed that Pixel 11 pre-orders will begin immediately after the launch event. The company has announced promotional offers for eligible US customers who register through the Google Store before August 7. However, India-specific offers have not been announced. The keynote will be streamed globally and will begin at 3:30 AM IST on August 13 for viewers in India.

The Pixel 11 series reflects Google’s wider strategy of combining smartphone hardware with artificial intelligence. Pixel devices have become a key platform for introducing the company’s latest AI features.

While the teaser provides an early glimpse of the upcoming phones, details about pricing, availability, and final specifications are still awaited. The Made by Google event will reveal how Google plans to position the Pixel 11 lineup in the premium smartphone market.
