Saudi Arabia's low-cost carrier flyadeal is expanding its presence in the Indian market with a new direct service between Riyadh and Mumbai. The airline, part of the Saudia Group, has opened bookings for the new route, with flights scheduled to begin on October 3, 2026. Mumbai will become flyadeal's second Indian destination, following the launch of its Hyderabad service earlier this year.
According to flyadeal's published schedule, the Riyadh-Mumbai service will operate on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. flyadeal will deploy its Airbus A320neo aircraft on the new route. The aircraft will feature an all-Economy Class configuration with 186 seats. The A320neo will also feature Airbus' Airspace cabin interior, including larger overhead storage compartments.

The timings are designed to facilitate onward connections through Riyadh to destinations including Jeddah, Madinah and Dammam. The route is expected to cater to business travellers, tourists, expatriates and passengers travelling for religious purposes.

The carrier began scheduled services between Riyadh and Hyderabad on July 3, making Hyderabad its first Indian destination. flyadeal has also indicated that it intends to develop a larger network across India as part of its international expansion plans.
The airline has big plans for network and fleet expansion, aiming to reach more than 100 cities with over 100 planes by 2030. Some of the fleet expansion plans include Airbus A321neos and A330-900neos in addition to the existing A320 family fleet starting 2027.
