According to the Reddit post, Galaxy S25 FE was on charge overnight using the original cable supplied in the box. The charging brick mentioned was a third-party 20W USB adapter. The user stated the phone was on a mattress within a leather case, carrying coins.
The smartphone reportedly produced repeated popping sounds followed by sparks, smoke emission, and fragment release. Emergency services reached the home, assisted in smoke control, and removed the product.

The user said the device had been purchased from Virgin around six months earlier and had shown no previous signs of overheating.
