AI Leaders

AI Directors and Heads of AI command the highest incomes. These executives set the company's direction, mentor their team members, and support organizations in integrating AI into their operations. These leaders can earn a monthly salary that ranges from AED 70,000 to more than AED 120,000 in larger companies. Individuals with more than a decade of experience often fill these roles.

They earn a monthly salary of AED 55,000 to AED 90,000, and these professionals typically work for research centres, healthcare organizations, or the government.

Technical Experts

The salaries offered for these senior roles at other firms are quite competitive. For instance, the role of a principal AI engineer involves developing large-scale AI systems, selecting appropriate technologies, and playing a crucial role in bringing AI initiatives from the conceptual phase to production. On average, they earn around AED 50k to AED 80k per month. The AI solution architect is responsible for the architectural design of AI and industry solutions, this position typically commands AED 45k to AED 75k.

On average, a Generative AI Engineer may expect between AED 40,000 and AED 65,000 monthly, with some of the biggest players offering substantially more.

Engineers

MLOps Engineers are also in high demand. In an age where businesses need their AI models successfully deployed, their cloud infrastructure to run smoothly, and their AI systems to remain stable, there is a constant need for engineers to fill this gap. Their monthly salaries typically range between AED 35,000 and AED 60,000.

The machine learning engineering manager is responsible for managing and leading a team of engineers in delivering a product at scale. These positions are highly valued, with salaries ranging from AED 45,000 to AED 70,000 per month.

Experience Plays a Major Role

Salaries may range between Dh35,000 and Dh55,000 with five years of experience and Dh50,000 to Dh80,000 a month for over eight years of experience. Experienced executive-level professionals with more than 12 years of experience could be earning much more than Dh100,000 monthly. The latest UAE salary trends indicate an 8% to 12% increase year-on-year for tech experts.

Skills that Increase Earning Potential

Companies are offering the best packages to individuals with know-how of Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Microsoft Azure AI, Google Vertex AI, Databricks, Snowflake, Apache Spark, Pinecone, Weaviate, and Milvus.
