Abu Dhabi Police arrested 109 people for filming sites of accidents and missile attacks and sharing false videos online. The arrests happened as the UAE faced a series of missile attacks, showing the country’s focus on safety and order.
Officials said the people arrested filmed places hit by missiles or drones and posted wrong information on social media. Some videos were even made using AI. Authorities said such posts could spread fear and confuse the public. Police warned that breaking these rules can lead to fines, jail, or deportation for foreigners.
At the same time, UAE air defence successfully stopped four ballistic missiles and 26 drones launched from Iran. Officials confirmed that the missiles and drones were intercepted before they caused serious damage. This comes after weeks of repeated attacks in the region. So far, UAE air defence has blocked hundreds of missiles and thousands of drones, keeping people and property safe.
The government asked residents to follow official news and avoid posting videos from incident sites. Authorities said sharing unverified videos can harm security and spread panic. The arrests show that the UAE takes both physical safety and online safety seriously.
