The UAE Cyber Security Council and SCC Middle East have announced plans to establish a Center of Excellence for Cyber Resilience and Trusted Technology in the UAE, aimed at serving the region and the world.
The announcement was made during AI Everything Abu Dhabi in October 2026. The new Center will bring together government, enterprises, technology partners, and specialists to explore emerging technologies, test real use cases, and assess how new solutions can be adopted securely and at scale.
The initiative will be implemented through a three-phase approach focused on building national capability, supporting local innovation and creating international opportunities.
Phase 1: Building National Capability: The Center will offer executive learning, practical labs, and specialist development across AI, cloud, data, cybersecurity, and critical national infrastructure. The aim is to help organizations move from experimentation to secure, practical adoption.
Phase 2: Incubate Innovation Made in the UAE: A startup incubator program will support the development and scaling of UAE cyber innovation. Locally developed technologies will be tested and validated against real-world requirements.
Phase 3: Creating Pathways to International Markets: Selected UAE-developed technologies will be connected with international customers, ecosystems, and commercial opportunities.
Under the innovation center, both parties will lead integration and delivery, bringing together the expertise and resources needed for each program.
