The UAE raised petrol and diesel prices for October 2026, with all fuel categories becoming costlier from October 1. Super 98 petrol will rise to AED 4.40 per litre, while diesel will reach AED 4.80. The UAE Fuel Price Committee announced the revised rates on September 30. Super 98 will cost AED 4.40 per litre, up from AED 3.80 in September.
Special 95 will increase to AED 4.28, compared with AED 3.69 previously. E-Plus 91, the lowest-priced petrol category, will rise from AED 3.61 to AED 4.21 per litre. Diesel will increase from AED 4.30 to AED 4.80 per litre.
The new prices will take effect on October 1. The increase represents a 15.8% rise for Super 98, 16% for Special 95 and 16.6% for E-Plus 91. Diesel prices will climb by 11.6% from the September level.
The October increase comes after oil prices remained high in September. Brent crude traded around or above USD 100 a barrel amid continuing concerns over Middle Eastern supply and shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
The UAE reviews fuel prices every month under its deregulated pricing mechanism introduced in 2015. The system links domestic retail fuel rates to movements in international energy markets and associated costs.
The latest increase means a 60-litre tank of Super 98 will cost AED 264, compared with AED 228 in September. A 60-litre fill of Special 95 will cost AED 256.80, while E-Plus 91 will cost AED 252.60. A 60-litre diesel fill will cost AED 288. The October rates will remain in effect from October 1 until the next monthly fuel-price review.
