Vivo’s next flagship foldable is set to launch in China on June 26, and the pricing leak has already set the tone. The X Fold 6 appears to enter a much higher price bracket than its predecessor. The jump is large enough to push it closer to rival premium foldables in the Chinese market.
Leaked listings on Weibo suggest the Vivo X Fold 6 will come in four configurations. The base model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is expected to cost 9,999 CNY. The 12GB + 512GB version may reach 10,999 CNY. The 16GB + 512GB variant is tipped at 11,499 CNY. The top-end 16GB + 1TB model is likely priced at 12,499 CNY.
Each step adds around 1,000 CNY. The entry price alone shows a strong shift in Vivo’s pricing strategy for foldables. The X Fold 5 launched in June 2025 with a starting price of 6,999 CNY for the base variant. The highest model went up to 9,499 CNY. The new leak places the X Fold 6 approximately 3,000 CNY higher across matching variants. This sets a price hike close to 40% year on year.
The pricing also places Vivo in direct competition with higher-end rivals. The Honor Magic V6 starts at 8,999 CNY. Oppo Find N6 begins at 9,999 CNY, matching X Fold 6’s entry point.
A Vivo executive has confirmed a battery larger than 6,000mAh. Leaks now point to a 7,000mAh unit, which would be among the biggest in a book-style foldable. The device is also expected to run OriginOS 6 Fold based on Android 16.
The chipset is tipped to be MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition. Reports suggest it delivers a major boost in AI performance compared to the standard version. Vivo is also expected to include an 8.02-inch foldable OLED display and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The camera setup is expected to carry a 200-megapixel main sensor paired with a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. A telephoto extender accessory may add extra zoom capability for long-range photography. The hardware mix places strong focus on imaging and battery endurance.
Retail listings and leaks have already shaped expectations before the official event. Import sellers have even started listing the device at similar price levels. The final figures will be confirmed at launch, but the direction of pricing is already clear.
Vivo now enters a crowded foldable space where pricing and performance both define position. X Fold 6 looks set to compete in a higher league, with a cost that matches its upgraded hardware profile.
