Forbes Middle East’s 2026 ranking features 17 billionaires living in the UAE, with combined wealth of $212.6 billion. Changpeng Zhao leads at $110 billion. Changpeng Zhao Leads
Changpeng Zhao, Binance cofounder and former CEO, tops the UAE resident ranking with an estimated $110 billion fortune. The Canadian citizen ranks 17th globally and alone accounts for 51.7% of the combined wealth. His fortune is tied mainly to Binance and holdings of its BNB cryptocurrency, according to Forbes estimates.
Top Five Billionaires
Vinod Adani ranks second with $20.6 billion, while Russian industrialist Andrey Melnichenko and family hold third place with $20.4 billion. Revolut cofounder Nik Storonsky ranks fourth at $18.8 billion. Telegram founder Pavel Durov completes the top five with $6.6 billion, reflecting the UAE’s appeal to global finance and technology entrepreneurs.
India Has Strong Representation
India has the strongest representation, with nine billionaires worth $49.9 billion. M.A. Yusuff Ali ranks sixth at $5.8 billion, followed by Renuka Jagtiani at $5.6 billion. Ravi Pillai, Sunny Varkey and P.N.C. Menon also feature prominently, with fortunes spanning construction, education, retail and real estate sectors across the UAE region.
Real Estate And Finance
Real estate remains a major wealth-creation engine in the UAE. P.N.C. Menon, Kabir Mulchandani, Mirwais Azizi and Michel Litvak are among property-linked billionaires on the ranking. Forbes says real estate has three billionaires and $7.5 billion in combined wealth. Finance and investments account for $128.8 billion, despite only two billionaires.
An International Billionaire Hub
The ranking also reflects the UAE’s international character. India contributes nine billionaires, Russia three, while the UK and Canada contribute two each. Afghanistan has one representative, Mirwais Azizi. The youngest billionaires are Nik Storonsky and Pavel Durov, both 41, while Dhruv Sawhney, 81, is the oldest on the entire list.
