Apple has announced new tools and artificial intelligence features for its Creator Studio suite. Apple is improving video editing, image editing, music production and office applications. The update brings MotionVFX tools into Final Cut Pro and adds new AI-powered features to Pixelmator Pro and Logic Pro.
The changes cover Mac, iPad and iPhone apps, with several features requiring Apple's latest operating systems and compatible devices. Apple plans to release the updates through the App Store in November.
Final Cut Pro for Mac will add MotionVFX content, giving users access to thousands of effects, transitions, templates, titles and animation tools. These tools will help users track objects, separate parts of a video and adjust colors. Apple's Content Hub will also let users find and add video clips directly within Final Cut Pro.
Pixelmator Pro is also getting an improved Generate Fill feature for image editing. Users can select an area of an image and describe the changes they want in simple words. The tool will then make changes to that part of the image based on their instructions.
Logic Pro is also receiving several updates for music creators. A new Intelligent Assistant is arriving in beta, alongside a redesigned sound browser. Its Stem Splitter feature can now separate drum parts from a finished audio recording without requiring the original individual tracks.
Apple is adding AI assistants to Pages, Numbers and Keynote to help users work with their documents. These assistants can use information from an open document to provide relevant help and complete tasks. The apps will also support the Model Context Protocol, which allows external AI tools to read documents, make changes and handle tasks automatically.
The AI assistants will first launch in beta and support US English. Users will need compatible Apple devices running iOS 27, iPadOS 27 or macOS 27, depending on the app. The Model Context Protocol feature will only work on Mac computers running macOS 27.
Existing Creator Studio subscribers will receive the updates at no additional cost. New subscribers can choose a USD 12.99 monthly plan or a USD 129 annual subscription. Apple will also update eligible one-time-purchase versions of its creative apps in November.
