Apple accredited Coders HQ, the UAE’s national programming initiative, as an authorised education training centre for app development. The UAE Artificial Intelligence Office announced the recognition on October 29, coinciding with UAE Codes Day.
The accreditation places Coders HQ within Apple’s global network of educational institutions. It also allows the centre to deliver structured training based on Apple’s official app-development curriculum.
Coders HQ will now offer specialised courses built around Apple’s Develop in Swift programme. Learners will gain practical experience in designing, building and testing applications for Apple platforms.
The curriculum will focus on Swift, Apple’s programming language used to create apps for iPhone, iPad, Mac and other devices. Participants will also learn modern development practices through guided, project-based training.
Officials said, “The programme aims to equip learners with skills that match industry demand. The focus will remain on creating real applications rather than limiting students to theory.”
The recognition gives Coders HQ members access to Apple’s global training resources. These include learning materials, international trainers and partnerships with accredited educational institutions.
The centre can now align its programmes with Apple’s international standards. This should help learners build portfolios and develop capabilities relevant to the global app economy. The initiative also signals a shift from basic coding awareness towards specialised, employment-focused skills. App development remains a key area as businesses across sectors expand their digital products.
Coders HQ was launched in 2022 to grow the UAE’s programming community. The Apple accreditation adds a global dimension to that mandate and expands opportunities for aspiring developers. The move supports the UAE’s broader plan to build a strong pipeline of technology professionals. By formalising Apple-aligned training, the country expects to produce more developers capable of contributing to its digital economy.
