A rejected health insurance claim can create an unexpected financial burden, especially when treatment is already completed. Dubai residents and visitors who have disputes with their insurers can use the Dubai Health Authority’s unified insurance complaints system to raise the matter. The service is free and available to insured members.

DHA Offers a Formal Route For Insurance Disputes

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) maintains an integrated complaint system. This is used by insured members to lodge their complaints, suggestions, and other concerns against the insurance companies.

The complaint system serves UAE nationals, foreigners, residents, and visitors. The complaint system is provided free of charge by the Dubai Health Authority and can be accessed from its website and customer service phone line.

DubaiNow consolidates more than 280 services from the city provided by 44 governmental and non-governmental organizations within one platform. Among its service areas are health services along with bill payments, driver services, housing, residency, justice, and others.

How to File Dubai Health Insurance Claim

Policyholders can access DHA’s insurance complaint service and submit the required application form through the eClaimLink system.

  • Open the DubaiNow app.

  • Tap on ‘services’ and then tap on ‘health’.

  • From the list of services, select ‘Insurance complaint’.

  • Select whether you are filing the complaint on your own behalf or someone else’s.

  • Next, select the type of complaint from the dropdown menu, with 12 different options, including refusal to cover a treatment, rejection of a claim, or delay in activating your health insurance policy.

  • Enter the description of the complaint and upload any supporting documents.

Please note that eClaimLink is an integral part of the electronic infrastructure for Dubai’s health insurance and helps to exchange health and financial information among stakeholders.
