Dubai launched GenDubAI, a digital platform designed to help parents guide children in using artificial intelligence safely, responsibly and creatively. The initiative targets families with children aged 8 to 15 and aims to make AI education part of everyday family life.

The Dubai Center for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) launched the platform in collaboration with the Community Development Authority (CDA) and Dubai Future Foundation on October 14, 2026. Available in Arabic and English, GenDubAI offers practical guidance to help parents understand AI tools and address the challenges children may face while using them.

Focuses on Responsible AI

GenDubAI aims to help families understand both the benefits and risks of artificial intelligence. Its interactive content introduces parents to AI fundamentals, tools and applications while encouraging children to develop critical thinking and creativity.

Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, director general of the Community Development Authority, said “The platform places families at the center of children's AI learning. It is important to combine access to new technology with awareness, values and responsibility.”

The platform also addresses concerns around privacy, intellectual development and responsible technology use. It encourages parents to remain involved in their children's learning rather than leaving them to navigate AI tools independently. The initiative emphasizes family well-being and preparing younger generations for future challenges.

Dubai Emphasizes Family Participation

Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation, noted, “Growing AI adoption and increased smart-device use among children make parental guidance important. Parents need to help children understand both the opportunities and challenges associated with AI.”

Saeed Al Falasi, executive director of DCAI, said, “The platform follows a family-focused approach. It encourages parents and children to learn together through activities and conversations that fit into daily routines.” GenDubAI will continue to expand through new content, tools and educational resources. The aim is to keep the platform relevant as AI technology advances and family needs change.
