New Spider-Man content may soon arrive in Fortnite, with a prominent tipster pointing to updates tied to the franchise’s next film. According to known Fortnite insider HYPEX, the game is set to bring back Spider-Man’s web-shooters during the ongoing season.

The leak also indicates a possible crossover with Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the upcoming Marvel film scheduled for release on July 30. The development builds on the long-running collaboration between Epic Games and Marvel, which has already introduced several Spider-Man-inspired skins and characters into the game.

Web-Shooters Set for Return

The immediate update is focused on gameplay. Spider-Man’s web-shooters, which previously allowed players to swing across the map, are expected to return. The update, which had gained strong popularity during previous appearances, offers a fast and fluid movement.

The feature’s reintroduction is likely to appeal to both casual players and long-time fans who associate Fortnite’s Marvel collaborations with unique gameplay mechanics.

HYPEX noted that confirmation currently extends only to the web-shooters. Other additions linked to the new film have not been officially verified.

Scope for New Skins and Characters

The timing of the leak has drawn attention to Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is expected to introduce new characters and designs. The film features a revised suit for Spider-Man that closely reflects the classic comic-book look.

Such design changes often translate into in-game skins. Epic Games has previously adapted film costumes into Fortnite, sometimes with slight visual variations to differentiate them from existing options.

There is also speculation around characters who have not yet appeared in the game. Villains such as Boomerang and Scorpion are still absent from Fortnite’s roster, even as other Spider-Man allies and adversaries have been featured over the years.

Demand for the Punisher Grows

One of the most discussed possibilities involves the Punisher. Actor Jon Bernthal’s version of Frank Castle is expected to appear in the upcoming film. The character has not received a Fortnite skin so far.

Fans have expressed interest in seeing the Punisher added to the game. The character’s tone and fighting style would blend well into the fast-paced gameplay of Fortnite, as he could make an appearance during a big crossover event.

Timing Driven by Epic-Disney Tie-Up

Epic Games and Disney have a close working relationship and regularly collaborate in sync with film and series launches. Previously, updates have often been timed to major Marvel or Star Wars releases.

This pattern suggests that any new Spider-Man content could arrive around the film’s theatrical release. Such timing helps maintain visibility for both the game and the film while keeping player engagement high.

What to Expect Next

At this stage, only the return of web-shooters has clear backing from the leak. Additional skins or characters linked to Spider-Man: Brand New Day are still speculative.

Even so, the scale of past collaborations indicates that Fortnite could expand its Spider-Man lineup once again. With the film’s release approaching, players may not have to wait long for official confirmation on what comes next.
