Samsung offers the strongest hint that its next-generation smartwatch will put artificial intelligence at the heart of the wearable experience. This comes after the company unveiled a sneak peek at the new features of the upcoming watch, which include AI-driven health functions, improved hardware components, and better battery life.
Though there has been no official announcement from the brand about the product name, speculation has increased that Samsung will announce the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 range of watches.
Samsung shared in its statement, “The new Galaxy Watch is built around AI-driven health features that aim to provide a more personalised wellness experience. The smartwatch will continue to monitor important health activities such as sleep, movement and overall daily habits. AI will help users better understand this data by offering smarter insights and real-time guidance.”
The upcoming smartwatch is not just a regular fitness gadget, but an AI-based health companion for its users. The watch aims to analyse your data in real time and provide individual advice regarding your wellbeing. It can also track various health indicators in the background and offer instant advice depending on sleep and physical activities.
The tech giant also claims that the new gadget will introduce new internal components to improve the precision of health monitoring and offer longer battery life.
Samsung has been focusing on providing personalized on-device AI experiences that learn about user behavior rather than simply executing commands. The company’s top executives believe that the future of AI depends on contextual intelligence and personalization instead of computing power alone.
Samsung’s 2026 Unpacked event, scheduled for July 22 in London, will be one of the tech giant’s biggest hardware events of the year. Apart from the Galaxy Watch lineup, Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8 and other AI devices. While Samsung has been mum about the product names, the teaser clearly indicates that AI will continue to be at the heart of all Samsung’s products.
