Microsoft will offer 25 free Xbox games with selected Windows 11 PCs during the 2026 holiday season. The company is giving eligible buyers a digital collection valued at more than USD 500.
The promotion marks the Xbox brand's 25th anniversary and will run through participating retailers in the US. Purchases must be made between November 2 and December 31, 2026, while supplies last. The offer is limited to eligible devices sold by participating US retailers.
Microsoft has not announced a similar promotion for the UAE, Saudi Arabia, or Egypt. Buyers in these markets should not expect the bundle to apply to local purchases unless the company confirms regional availability.
Microsoft has confirmed five titles for the collection: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, Minecraft Dungeons and Gears of War: Reloaded. The remaining 20 games have not been disclosed.
The company plans to publish the complete list, system requirements, and age ratings on November 2. The bundle will include digital versions rather than physical discs.
Buyers will need to claim the games through the Microsoft Store app by November 30, according to the promotion details. They must activate their eligible PC and add the titles to their Microsoft account by February 12, 2027. The games will then be linked to that account for use on compatible Windows PCs.
Some titles will also support Xbox Series X|S through Xbox Play Anywhere. However, Microsoft has warned that not every game will run on every eligible PC. Buyers should check the published hardware requirements before choosing a device, especially if they plan to play demanding titles. The promotion forms part of Microsoft's broader holiday sales campaign.
The company also plans weekly PC discounts of up to USD 500 at selected US retailers between November 2 and December 25. These offers will run alongside its promotion of the Surface Laptop Ultra.
