OnePlus officially revealed the design and colour options of its upcoming flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 16. The company has also introduced a distinctive rear lighting system for one of the three variants.
The reveal comes ahead of the phone’s expected launch in China. OnePlus already opened reservations for the device. However, the tech giant is yet to announce its final launch date and pricing.
The OnePlus 16 will be available in Tomorrow Starlight, Dark Forest and Martian Masterpiece colourways. The phone retains a design language similar to the OnePlus 15, with a square metal camera module and rounded corners.
The Dark Forest version uses a dark, understated finish, while Martian Masterpiece takes inspiration from Mars with a warmer tone. The Tomorrow Starlight variant gets the most distinctive treatment, combining a celestial-themed rear design with a new lighting system.
OnePlus also used a new nano-grating texture and silk-glass finish on the Tomorrow Starlight model. The company says the surface creates a flowing starlight effect as the phone moves under different lighting conditions.
OnePlus also revealed the phone’s memory configurations through its Chinese reservation listing. The OnePlus 16 will be available with 12GB or 16GB RAM, while storage options extend up to 1TB.
The listed configurations include 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB and 16GB+1TB. The company confirmed a 165Hz display and ColorOS 17 for the device. Other online rumors remain unconfirmed until OnePlus announces them officially.
