OPPO is preparing to expand its A7 smartphone lineup with the A7 Pro launch in China on September 11, 2026. The company confirmed that the phone will go on sale at 10 AM local time on the launch day, while several key specifications have emerged ahead of the announcement.
The A7 Pro is positioned below the recently introduced OPPO A7 Pro Max, featuring a larger 10,000mAh battery. The standard Pro model is expected to focus heavily on battery endurance while offering a high-refresh-rate OLED screen and fast charging.
The biggest talking point around the A7 Pro is its reported 8,000mAh battery. OPPO's China website confirmed the 8,000mAh capacity and says the battery is designed for long-term durability, with the company claiming a lifespan of up to seven years under specified testing conditions.
The phone is also expected to support 80W wired fast charging. With such a large battery, the charging capability could help reduce the time needed to replenish the device. OPPO also confirmed IP69K-rated protection, along with additional durability-focused construction. The company says the handset uses its ‘Ultra-Damping Diamond Architecture’ to improve resistance to drops and impacts.
A7 Pro is expected to feature a 6.57-inch OLED display with a 1080p resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The panel is designed to provide smoother scrolling and playback compared with standard 60Hz displays.
Reports suggest the smartphone could be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processor and offered with up to 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. A 50-megapixel primary rear camera, a secondary sensor, and an 8-megapixel front camera are also expected. The handset is expected to measure around 8.8mm in thickness, despite carrying the unusually large battery.
OPPO A7 Pro is reportedly expected to cost around CNY 2,000 in China, although OPPO has not announced an official price yet. Currently, China is the only confirmed launch market. The company is expected to reveal the remaining specifications, official pricing, and sales details when the A7 Pro launches on September 11. UAE availability will depend on a separate announcement from the company.
